We believe in the principal of the great commission
outlined in Matthew 28:19: Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations...
We aim to see people saved, then established in what they
believe, and then serving the Lord to the uttermost. We
teach them about the Word of God, what happened to them at
Salvation, Eternal Security, Baptism, Prayer, Dealing with
Sin, the Will of God, the Holy Spirit, the Local Church,
Giving, Liberty in Christ, Employer-Employee Relationship,
Christians in the World, the Judgment Seat of Christ, the
Lord's Supper, Evangelism and Missions, Discipleship and
Bible Prophecy. We aim to make disciples that truly are sold
out for Christ.

Soulwinning
Something to remember: The Holy Spirit is the one doing the
soul winning (1 Cor 12:3), we are to be His willing labours
in the harvest He has prepared. That is why we have nothing
to fear when trying to witness to a lost person, because God
does it, not us (John 6:44). Are you a willing
labourer? |

Missions
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature. — Mark 16:15
Calvary Baptist Church is a church that is aggressive in
doing all they can do to fulfill the great commission from
Sanford, Maine. We believe the Bible teaches that there is a
personal responsibility to each local church to get the
gospel out. Calvary Baptist Church believes and practices
faith promise mission giving. We know if God can get the
monies through us He will give the monies to us. The monies
that come in through faith promise go out to missionaries
around the world. Currently Calvary Baptist Church supports
twenty one missionary families.
We praise God for how our faith promise has grown and are
looking forward to the possibilities of it increasing more
and more as our faith is increased. Come be a part of this
young, exciting, mission hearted church that by God's Grace
is making a difference in our area for HIM!!

Aviation
"Reaching the lost at any cost"
Evangelism - Encouraging Laborers - Exalting Christ
In 1994, God called our family to a church planting ministry
in Maine. We serve with Maranatha Baptist Mission, Inc. out
of Natchez, Mississippi. We moved to East Millinocket, Maine
in January 1996 and established the Tri Town Baptist Church.
It was there that this ministry, Wings with "The Word" was
born. Currently we are starting the Calvary Baptist Church
in Sanford, Maine and continuing the ministry.
God has given us the vision and conviction that aviation can
be a powerful tool in evangelism and church planting. The
Wings with "The Word" ministry strives to serve three
purposes.
Our first concern is for evangelism. We live and serve in an
area where there are few laborers. Many towns and villages
have no preacher. The few fundamental servants of God that
are on these fields need to be as mobile as possible. The
Scripture declares that we are to "redeem the time because
the days are evil." Simply put, I believe as a preacher, I
can reach out to more people with the Gospel of Christ if I
can redeem certain amounts of time. This can be accomplished
with the use of aviation. For the present time we are very
much needed here at Calvary Baptist Church. In the future we
hope to be able to reach out to new places where we can
begin the process of soul winning, discipleship, and
ultimately the planting of a new church.
Secondly, we have a burden to be an encouragement to God's
servants laboring in other parts of the New England area.
The airplane will give us a mobility that can make this
vision a reality. Our daily prayer has long been the prayer
request of our Lord as it is found in Matthew 9:38. "Pray ye
therefore the Lord of Harvest that he would send forth
laborers in to his harvest." As we have prayed this prayer,
we have seen God answer in a very profound way. This should
not startle us... that he would answer. If our God answers
our prayer requests, how much more will he answer the
request of his own Darling Son? A number of laborers have
been called into the harvest in Maine. I have a burden to
visit these fellow laborers in the place of their calling.
Church planters often feel alone. While visiting them, I
will seek to encourage them in the work of God and be a
help. In a day where so many are critical, it is my desire
to be a counselor, to be a Barnabas, a "son of
consolation."
Thirdly, our vision is to exalt Christ using aviation as a
tool to serve the community. I believe that aviation can be
used in humanitarian projects to open many doors of
opportunity to present the Gospel. These projects would
mostly involve flying terminally ill people to hospitals for
needed treatment. We will be able to minister to
individual's physical needs, but more importantly, we will
be able to minister to them spiritually through sharing
Christ. I believe that using aviation as Christ's servants,
we care for them. Christ is exalted when we serve
others.
Please pray for Wings with "The Word" as we seek to use
aviation as a tool for evangelism and church planting,
encouraging the laborers, and exalting Christ, in the
community and surrounding communities.

Bus
Calvary Baptist Church has a bus ministry to find
boys and girls, to bring them to church, and to teach them
the scriptures. We are ambassadors for Christ, committed to
going out into the neighborhoods for the one purpose of
seeing families saved, baptized, and added to the church. We
exist to transform the families we reach from “bus
families” to “church families”. We exist to
train others for the work of the ministry. |

Youth
Group
Being a teenager in this day and age can be
difficult. There is a constant pressure to “fit in" and
"be cool.” Our youth group is a place where you will
find teenagers with similar challenges, desires, and
feelings. Our desire is to show teenagers how to add real
meaning to their lives through a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ. We are not offering boring, lifeless religion,
but an exciting journey through life with the Lord Jesus
Christ as the Master Guide! |

Senior
Saints
Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head and
honor the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the
Lord. — Leviticus 19:32
Our Senior Saints meet once a month for a luncheon and
fellowship. We plan to expand this ministry to include
helping our Wings with "the Word" Evangelism team. This is a
lovely ministry to be involved with. |

Ladies
Fellowship
"The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior
as becometh holiness... that they may teach the young
women..."
The Ladies Christian Fellowship meets once a month. This is
a time to teach, learn, fellowship, and share. It's our
desire to see women who love the Lord supremely and desire
to have homes that honor Christ. |
